WAXMGZINE

Terms

These terms describe how you can use WAXMGZINE — the website, the newsletter, and the content we publish. Reading the site means you agree to what's below. We've tried to keep the language plain, but the underlying rules are the same ones most publications rely on.

Using the site

You're welcome to read WAXMGZINE, link to any article from your own site or social account, and quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back to the original piece. We think that's how a healthy music press ecosystem should work, and we do the same when we cite other outlets.

What you can't do without written permission: republish full articles, mirror the site, scrape our archive to train a commercial model, resell our content, or present our writing as your own. If you'd like to license a piece, translate one, or syndicate the newsletter, get in touch through the contact form and we'll usually say yes.

Ownership

All editorial content — reviews, features, interviews, essays, photography commissioned by WAXMGZINE, and the site design itself — is the property of WAXMGZINE and the writers who created it. Third-party artwork, press photos, album covers, and embedded media belong to their respective owners and are used editorially under fair-use conventions. If you own something that appears here and would like it credited differently or removed, use the contact form and select "Press".

Pitches, comments, and submissions

Anything you send to our editors — a pitch, a tip, a correction, a letter to the editor — may be edited for length, style, and clarity before publication. By sending us a pitch you confirm that the work is yours to offer and that you have the right to license it to us for editorial use. We do not accept unsolicited music for review through the contact form; use the "Pitch" reason for coverage requests, and we'll respond if we're interested.

Accuracy and corrections

We stand behind what we publish, but music writing is a living thing: release dates move, tracklists change, and artists reissue records with new credits. If you spot a factual error, tell us through the contact form and we'll correct the piece and note the change at the bottom of the article. Reviews, opinions, and criticism are protected editorial expression and won't be revised just because a subject disagrees with them.

External links and embeds

Articles frequently link to and embed content from streaming platforms, video hosts, artist sites, and other publications. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, which we don't control. Following an outbound link means you accept the destination site's rules, not ours.

Availability

We work hard to keep the site up, but we don't guarantee it will be available every second of every day. Occasional maintenance, upgrades, and infrastructure hiccups happen. We're not liable for losses that arise from the site being temporarily unreachable or from information you found here that turned out to be out of date.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms in a way that changes your rights, we'll flag it at the top of this page and mention it in the newsletter. Small clarifications and typo fixes may happen quietly.

Legal questions, licensing requests, or takedown notices: please use the contact form and pick the reason that fits, and the right editor will handle it.
