Following the May release of their seminal debut, GREY, the heavyweight collective known as Held. is no longer just a band—they are a multimedia phenomenon. Comprising alumni from the storied ranks of The Sleeping and Coheed and Cambria, the group has evolved beyond the constraints of the traditional album cycle. Their latest offering, Negative of Nurture, is a 16-minute short film that serves as both a retrospective and a haunting prophecy of where the project is headed.
Directed by visual auteur Adam Thomson, the film acts as a connective tissue for the band’s previous visual strikes. It weaves together the narrative threads introduced in the music videos for "NEW YOU ANTHEM" (featuring an appearance by My Chemical Romance’s Frank Iero), the serrated edge of "CONSTANT TENSION," and the visceral “KNIFEPOINT,” which saw a collaboration with Graham Sayle of High Vis. Rather than a mere compilation, Thomson transforms these fragments into a cohesive, atmospheric descent, finally addressing the recurring pyramid iconography that has haunted the band’s aesthetic since day one.

The transition from the abstract world of Negative of Nurture to the raw energy of the stage is imminent. Held. has signaled a massive expansion of their touring footprint, confirming their first-ever run of dates across the U.K. The trek will see the band bringing their dark, meticulously crafted sound to iconic basement venues and clubs in Glasgow, Cardiff, and Birmingham, culminating in a highly anticipated London show at the Barfly.
Before crossing the Atlantic, the group remains a fixture on the domestic circuit. They are slated to join the second leg of the Van Tour to Vans Warped Tour, providing direct support for Underoath. This run of dates takes them through the southern and southwestern corridors, hitting cultural hubs from Gainesville to Tucson before they take the stage at major festival landmarks like Neverender and Furnace Fest.
